Cloud-based software is hosted on SnapClose servers and accessed through a web browser. Setting up a new PC is as simple as going to a website. Your files and data are accessible 24 hours a day from any computer.
On-premise software is installed locally, on a company’s own computers and servers. Resources are deployed in-house and within an enterprise’s IT infrastructure. An enterprise is responsible for maintaining the solution and all its related processes. IT staff must be trained how to install, update, and manage software deployments on internal resources.
Security and Compliance
Cloud: Our applications and your data reside in a world class ISO 27001 and SOC-2 certified data center managed by Amazon. Our application suite is independently audited to ensure alignment with globally accepted security best practices including our solution and internal controls. Company data is isolated by customer and accessible only to the users you enable. This provides our cloud customers with a higher level of security, privacy and availability of data. Customer data is protected from spyware, virus, and intrusion protection using Symantec Antivirus.
On-Premises: Companies must maintain security, Antivirus, and privacy standards via their IT staff.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Both our Cloud and On-Premises solutions contain two-factor Authentication for an added layer of security on top of our secure user authentication methods. This provides two different authentication factors for users to verify themselves to better protect both the user’s credentials and the resources the user can access.
TLS 1.2 Security: SnapClose utilizes TLS 1.2 for all data communications. Transport Layer Security (TLS), like Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), is an encryption protocol intended to keep data secure when being transferred over a network.
Cloud: Snapclose Cloud is hosted in Amazon Web Services data centers that utilize video surveillance, state of the art detection systems. It leverages Amazon’s reliable and secure global computing infrastructure which include fire detection, universal power supply, climate and temperature controls and operational management of systems.
On-Premise: Companies must rely on their IT staff and own infrastructure to ensure data is available.
SnapClose Updates and Enhancements
Cloud: Snapclose Cloud features regular updates that ensure your software is always running the latest version including enhancements and integrations with underwriters and vendors.
