QA Engineer

Location: Remote – Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, Austin, TX

We are a growing real estate software company seeking a QA Engineer to help develop an automated test environment, ensure quality releases of software, and monitor integrations.

This individual will handle multiple tasks and interact with different areas of the company including engineering, product design, and customer service. The role involves collaboration with development and product management leads to understand user stories and ensure a high-quality user experience while mitigating issues.

Responsibilities
– Own the QA process for a web application and supporting services
– Provide creative solutions for testing and documentation of results
– Manually test new features to ensure acceptance criteria is met
– Automate testing of completed features and provide daily smoke test results
– Work with the team to triage issues
– Approve and deploy new releases

Qualifications & Experience
– 2-5 years of prior QA experience
– Worked on multiple software projects with Senior QA Engineers
– Tested complex business applications and services for the web
– Built automated test frameworks with tools like Selenium and Katalon
– Developed back-end test automation and database validation systems
– Working knowledge of standard microservices architecture
– Experience developing CI/CD pipelines and deploying to production
– Experience with post-release support, issue triage, root cause analysis, and mitigation
– Experience working with Scrum methodology
– Passion for learning new things

Nice to Have
– Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
– Ability to write code
– Experience in an industry like mortgage, real estate or insurance

This is a remote position. Our customers fully run their businesses through our software, so our work has a meaningful impact for all parties involved in a real estate transaction. We have a daily standup in the morning and a good bit of fun collaborating throughout the day.

Full-Stack Software Engineer

Location: Remote – Pittsburgh, PA, Detroit, MI, Austin, TX

Seeking a talented javascript engineer with experience starting projects and seeing them through the full product lifecycle. The ideal candidate has built major features, and supported a platform over a multi-year time span.

We are building web apps to facilitate the real estate transaction process. This role is front and center in the industry and has a major impact on the experience of all parties involved in a real estate transaction.

Our Tech Stack
• Node.js, .NET
• React
• MongoDB, PostgreSQL
• Web Sockets
• Docker
• CI/CD pipelines
• Kubernetes microservices

Qualifications
• 3-5 years of full-time, full stack development experience
• Expertise engineering solutions and architectures for efficiency and extensibility
• Ability to reliably take ownership of tasks
• Experience whiteboarding with others in an engineering department and with colleagues across a company
• Precise ability to choose a new technology to work with, figure it out, and make good use of it for the team.
• Ability to teach others as well as write documentation
• Ability to explain complex interactions to QA and Operations colleagues
• Collaborative attitude and desire to keep the work day fun

Desired Skillsets
• CSS/HTML – nearly at expert level
• JavaScript – ES6 and design patterns
• Node.js – experience standing up web servers, APIs, and services consumed by 3rd parties
• React – hooks, classes, and custom components
• Web Apps – single page apps, full applications, responsive designs
• Data Management – data structures that are easily understood, extended, and reported on
• Scrum Methodology
• Self-starter – dive into a codebase and move it forward
• Troubleshooting – triage production issues and deliver solutions

Nice to Have
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
• Project or team lead experience
• A keen eye for design
